Welcome to IPEC 2026

On behalf of the Organizing and Steering Committees, we sincerely welcome you to the 2026 International Power Electronics Conference, IPEC-Nagasaki 2026 -ECCE Asia-. The first IPEC was held in 1983, and since then, in 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022 have been held in different locations, hosted by the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ). Since 2010, IPEC has had the additional function of the power electronics conference series which is held in the three countries rotation of China, Japan, and Korea, and has also been held as one of the ECCE Asia conferences due to cooperation with the IEEE Power Electronics Society and IEEE Industry Applications Society. After IPEC-Hime 2022, the 10th International Power Electronics Conference, IPEC-Nagasaki 2026-ECCE Asia-, will be held from May 31st to June 4th, 2026 in Nagasaki, Japan. The conference venue is a DEJIMA MESSE Nagasaki which is in front of Nagasaki railway station and beautiful seaport in Nagasaki.

Power electronics has been providing numerous new technologies in the fields of electric energy conversion and motor drive systems for more than 50 years. In recent years, global energy and environmental issues are becoming more serious and power electronics is expected to play a key role in solving such problems. Also, the power electronics expands its field to not only Power conversion but also Electric machine and Control. The IPEC Nagasaki 2026 -ECCE Asia- will provide a unique opportunity for international researchers, engineers, and academics to present and exchange the latest information on Integration of Power conversions, Electric machines, and Control (IPEC).

Nagasaki Prefecture is located on the western coast of Kyushu, southwest region of Japan. The prefecture consists of the mainland, and also hundreds of islands that dot its coastline. Being on the west coast and surrounded by ocean and mountains, Nagasaki is well-known for its stunning sunset view over the turquoise ocean; its slow-paste island paradise; and its pride for having the most variety of fresh seafood in all of Japan. We are sure that all the participants will have a memorable and enjoyable time in Nagasaki. We hope you will submit a paper and enjoy the IPEC-Nagasaki 2026 -ECCE Asia-. We look forward to seeing you in Nagasaki in 2026. Sincerely yours,
